Afternoon Tea Party

Hey everyone! I hope you're well! I am nearly there with finishing the baby blanket! I've crocheted the main section, I just need to do the border but the instructions aren't 100% clear so I need to wait for mum's help so we can figure it out together XD It was my mum's birthday on Tuesday so my brother and I thought we would surprise her and put together a little tea party for her and she loved it! I loved it too and now I find everyday eating boring haha :)

I thought I would base it on Afternoon Tea and have a selection of finger sandwiches, scones, cakes and then I also bought some snacks to go with it. So I popped down to Lidl and bought anything that took my fancy and all the food and a bunch of Lilies came to under £20 which is crazy!

My brother was in charge of sandwiches, so we went for ham, cheese and mustard, egg mayo (I just bought a sandwich filler), chorizo and brie and philadelphia and salmon. For snacks I bought some ready salted crisps, salt and vinegar crisps, vegetable crisps, crackers, cashew nuts (my favourites!), bread sticks, hummous and then some carrots and snack cucumbers. I bought some scones and clotted cream and we already had jam at home and then for sweet things I bought some viennese swirls, brownie bites, strawberries and we already had some homemade apple cake. And finally to finish everything off we had some Earl Grey tea :)
