Work Christmas Dinner at Bill's, Southampton
Hey everyone! I hope you're all well! I've had quite a busy and productive week, and there has been a lot of eating involved XD On Monday we had our Christmas dinner, on Wednesday we had a birthday buffet for a colleague at work, Thursday work gave us double pizza for lunch and after a seminar at the end of the day, Friday I went out for drinks and then yesterday I went out for dinner with a PhD friend :) Luckily I managed to slot in a few gym sessions but I think December is just meant for eating and getting fat XD

Wahaca Southampton
Hey everyone! I hope you're all well and you've been enjoying the lovely weather! Last week I went to Wahaca in Southampton and I was actually really happy with everything so I thought I would share my experience with you :) And to make it even better, you get chilli seeds at the end so I will try to plant them and see how they grow! :)

Christmas Dinner at Banana Wharf
Hey everyone! Hope you're all well! My phone decided to break on Sunday morning and I feel so lost without a smartphone :') It's crazy how much of an impact it has on our lives but I'm currently using an old phone which is probably about 10 years old :') Pretty rubbish though as it only lasted 2 years so it looks like I'm on the hunt for a new one as I was told that repairing it out of warranty would be about £180 :(

Afternoon Tea | Windsor
Hey everyone! Happy Easter! I hope you're all having a lovely weekend and you're eating lots of chocolate and yummy food! Friday evening I ended up booking a last minute holiday to Prague for Monday which I'm really excited about although I'm finding it difficult to plan what to wear and what coats to take as I don't want to be too hot or cold.. and I want to wear pretty dresses and skirts but I also want to be comfy and to be able to walk although so it looks like trainers and casual outfits for me XD

The Old Vine, Winchester
Hey everyone! Hope you're all well! On Thursday a group of us from work had our Christmas Meal at The Old Vine in Winchester and it was really lovely so I thought I would share some pictures :)
I'm not going to lie.. my expectations were realllly low. I've heard that the food there is really good but when I looked at the options on the set menu there wasn't really anything that stood out to me. I thought all the options were a bit funny and they didn't have like.. Turkey with all the trimmings which I thought was a bit weird.. and there was a set price of £25 per person so I wasn't sure whether it would be worth it. Luckily I was pleasantly surprised!
When we arrived we were promptly taken to a separate room where we had our table for 14. It was such a lovely room and it was really nice that we were separate and I felt that we could enjoy it a bit more. There were also some really lovely decorations and the room looked so cute! Due there being so many of us we also received 2 complimentary bottles of Prosecco between us all. :)
For my starter I chose the smoked salmon and it came with a lovely mustard, honey and dill dip, salad and a selection of bread, it was really tasty and the portion was actually pretty big! A lot of people opted for the scotch egg which did look really good.. It was a perfectly runny egg surrounded in sausage meat and a nice salad.
For my meal I picked lamb shank in red wine sauce with mash potato, sweet potato and green beans. I really enjoyed my main and I think it was one of the better options. It was also huge so I couldn't finish it all, but it was really tasty! Those that had the crab main didn't really like it which is such a shame.
Finally, for dessert I picked an apple tart and I think it was my favourite part! It was warm and sweet and it was really lovely. There was ice cream on top which I wasn't too keen on so I took it off but the actual tart was really nice :)
After the meal we had a choice of different teas and coffee, so I picked a camomile tea and we all opened our secret santa presents. It was actually a really nice evening and I'm glad it went well and I liked the food! Have you had any Christmas meals yet? :)
PS. On Wednesday I did a Primark Haul if you wanted to have a watch :)

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. London
Hey everyone! Hope you're all well! I'm currently looking at buying a new car and there are so many to choose from so it's a bit overwhelming especially where I'm clueless about cars haha! A few weeks ago I went to London for my friends birthday and we went to Ripleys and then afterwards for dinner we went to the Bubba Gump Restaurant in Piccadilly Circus and we loved it! PS. Sorry about some of the slightly blurry photos.. they looked fine on the camera but evidently not haha :)
Ever since watching Forrest Gump I've always wanted to eat at this restaurant but I haven't really had the chance to. I also expected it to be really expensive but you could roughly get food for £12-15 which I think is really reasonable! As we went on a Saturday it was super busy and so we waited roughly 20 minutes for a table but that was to be expected. When we finally went to our tables I was surprised at how huge the restaurant was! I also loved all of the decorations and atmosphere I thought it was really cool!
Obviously we all went for Shrimp, and it was amazing! I got the 'Mama Blue’s Southern Charmed Fried Shrimp' in medium and I ate it all up XD Ruth got the 'Dumb Luck Coconut Shrimp' and Laura got the 'Forrest’s Seafood Feast' although I think she only ate half the fries as there were so many! I think when I go again I'd maybe size up in my one because I'm a little piggy or I'd maybe get Laura's and maybe share the chips with someone or who knows :)
And then to wash it down we each got a cocktail and they were all really tasty. Ruth and Laura also got to keep their glasses which is pretty cool! :)
So that was my experience at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Restaurant. I would definitely go again and I would recommend it! Now I need to go and rewatch Forrest Gump and eat some ice cream hehe :)
PS. I have finally decided to start YouTube so here's the video if you fancy giving it a watch! :)
