Crochet Peter Pan Necklace

The little crochet flowers

The final thing! :)
With all my spare time I felt like learning something new. Mum's always been good at crafts so I asked her to teach me how to crochet. I'd been looking at crochet tops online and thought it would be really cool if I could make one. Initially I was not good at all :') Mum said maybe its better to stick to something you know, as a joke :L But I kept practicing just crocheting random squares and practicing different stitches. I was looking at peter pan collars online and thought to make one with little crochet flowers. After finding a tutorial on Julie's blog at http://www.kundhi.com/blog/2012/05/01/tiny-crochet-flower-pattern/ on how to make tiny crochet flowers I started crocheting away :) Took me 2 days, took forever. Although in the end I'm really pleased! Considering I'm a complete beginner I'm really happy with how it came out! So cute!

Since I've been home from Uni I've been a bit bored so mum thought up for me to paint the little wooden stool that we have lying around the house. Of course mum had left it to get all weathered outside so it needed a bit of fixing up. Mum took the stool apart, sanded it down, cleaned it then gave it to me to think about how to paint it. I haven't painted in years so I was a bit hesitant. In the end I decided to go for a Serbian Etno theme and to draw some traditional flowers that are used a lot in Serbian folklore. I used the design from one of my waistcoats we bought when I was about 6. I spent 2 days painting the chair, so long XD It was so fiddly and I had to do 3 layers of each colour as it kept soaking into the wood, felt like a child struggling to keep into the lines, But I'm really happy with how it came out in the end!
