A Day Out In London

Hey everyone! I hope you're all well! I had a really lovely weekend with friends, we went to London to celebrate my friends birthday on Saturday and then on Sunday we went for tapas at La Familia which was really good too! So I thought I would share some pictures with you.. mostly of my friends because they're more photogenic than I am haha!

So on Saturday we started off the day by walking through Hyde Park which was really nice. When I left home it started spitting but luckily the weather was okay all day! So we walked through the park and to the little lake in the middle. Next time we go we will definitely have to hire a pedalo :) 

Afterwards we went to Browns Bar and Brasserie for Afternoon Tea in Covent Garden and it wasn't too bad! I thought it was nice but not the nicest one I've had :') So critical haha! But it was a really nice afternoon regardless! They had 3 mini brioche rolls, some small cakes and scones. The place looked inbetween a pub and bar but the atmosphere was nice and the waitress was friendly. One of my scones was completely stale though which was a bit strange and we had 2 tea strainers between the 3 of us despite us all drinking different teas but we figured it out. We enjoyed the lemon and earl grey cake so I need to find the recipe for something similar :)

We were full afterwards so decided to walk it off and we walked towards embankment. On the way we saw all the cyclists going past which was really cool, they were going so fast! While we were walking along Embankment we walked past the Benefit Goodship Boat or whatever it's called haha. The guy was really friendly and he showed us around the Boat. Everything was cute and pink and they had the treatments downstairs and you could sit upstairs to have a drink etc. I think they had a promotion with Pimms so we enjoyed some free Pimms which was nice and generous of them and everyone was super friendly except for one waiter who I don't know if he thought he was cool and edgy by being grumpy or if he just really disliked his job but it was such a stark contrast to everyone else who were super friendly. Their drinks prices didn't seem too bad either :)

After this we carried on walking and crossed the bridge to South Bank before eventually sitting down for some sweet potato fries and mojitos to finish off the evening :) It was a really nice day and it was so nice to have a catch up with my best friends and we talked for hours and hours, we will definitely have to do something like this again :)
