Long Cardigans and Graffiti Walls

Graffiti Wall Southampton Common Long Cardigan Primark How to style Curly Hair
Hey Everyone! Hope you're all doing well and enjoying the weather :) Recently I've been learning to crochet as there are a few tops I want to make so hopefully I will make them soon :) Just randomly you know haha! Todays post is another outfit one. I pretty much wore this to celebrate the end of my final exams so thought I would take proper photos of it as I really liked it! I also thought that this outfit would go well with these graffiti backgrounds :)

Recently I've been curling my hair and I really like it, I haven't quite perfected it but it's getting there. I wish I had huge voluminous wavy/curly hair naturally but I guess my hair is sort of in the middle so it can be straightened or curled which isn't too bad. To do my hair here I curled it using a curling wand, pretty much from the root, left it to cool down then brushed it out gently. I then sectioned the top section and tied it up, pulling at it a bit, although it already had volume from curling it. Sometimes I will put hairspray on it but it depends, my hair will usually hold a curl for days so sometimes I don't need it. I always prefer my hair curly on the second day which is annoying but never mind haha!

I saw this cardigan a few weeks ago in Primark, I really liked it as soon as I saw it and it's super soft but it's also quite long. Where I'm really short I don't tend to go for these kind of styles as I'm just too short to pull them off but I decided to get it anyway XD Obviously it would look better if I was taller.. so would everything but nevermind eh haha! I decided to wear it with my bardot top which I picked up in the Hollister sale + student discount for around £5, bargain! For my bottoms I've recently been loving these jeggings from Tesco, I'm so fed up with my leggings being see through and going really baggy and sometimes you just can't be bothered to wear jeans XD So I picked these up around Easter time, I like that they don't go baggy straight away and are a bit high waisted, the only thing is that the colour runs so I need to wash them by hand.. but it's okay XD I paired this outfit with my New Look boots and an accessorize statement necklace, as well as some dainty jewellery also from Accessorize.

Strawberries and Cream Sundae

Strawberries Cream Eton Mess Meringue Sundae Pavlova
Hey everyone! Hope you're all well :) I've been enjoying my summer off and it's so nice to not have to do anything :) It was recently strawberry season at mums allotment so we've literally been picking roughly 3kgs of strawberries every other day :') After eating as many strawberries we could before feeling sick mum's made 10 jars of strawberry jam haha! Now the rasberries are nearly read so we're gonna have to do it all over again :')

Strawberries Cream Eton Mess Meringue Sundae Pavlova
I wanted to find some easy recipes to do with strawberries so I thought something to do with meringues and whipped cream and have a sort of sundae/eton mess/creation. I was searching online but couldn't find any I fancied so I decided to make my own recipe up and see how it went XD

Strawberries Cream Eton Mess Meringue Sundae Pavlova
The first time I made it I used strawberries: they were already really sweet so I didn't add sugar, Serbian whipped cream (šlag): it's a packet mix of powder and you add milk and whisk it for 5 minutes, I prefer it to whipped cream etc, but I think it's similar to Birds Dream Topping obviously you can use what you like and finally meringue. I just layered all three, crumbling the meringue, for my one I also added a layer of partly squished strawberries but you can do it without :) I liked but I felt like there was something missing and it needed to be a bit colder so I think it would be nice with a layer of ice cream too XD It's okay the strawberries make it healthy :')

When I got round to making it again the cream was off.. fantastic :') So I made it with vanilla ice cream and I also used some raspberries. It was nice again if you wanna mix up plain ice cream, but I think personally a mix of both would have been perfect XD Or maybe some chocolate sauce in there too XD Literally put everything yummy in there haha! It was messier with ice cream as it melts whereas the cream was light and fluffy so stayed :) Depends if that bothers you or not haha! :)

Do you know any good recipes with strawberries/raspberries? :)

Mint Dresses and Wisteria Archways

H&M mint dress skater floral archway Southampton Wisteria Park

Hey Everyone! I'm graduating with a 2:1!!! That's so crazy! These last three years have gone so quickly but I'm so glad it worked out well in the end! I averaged 68% which is so annoying as I was only 2% off a First but nevermind :) I'm perfectly happy with a 2:1 :) I also did really well in my dissertation which I'm super pleased about!

I've now moved out of Uni and am back home relaxing and enjoying my summer :) Before I left Southampton I found this really pretty archway in a park and thought I needed to take photos there before I go! I actually saw another blogger wearing this mint dress and when I saw that it was from H&M I made sure to keep an eye out when I was next shopping and I managed to find it! It was only £7.99 which is such a bargain! I did have to size up as it comes out quite small so I got a size 10 when I'm usually 6/8 but it fits so all is good :)

I've wanted a mint dress for ages so I'm so glad I found it! Straightaway I picked up the white version but the other day I bought another white flowery dress from H&M so returned the first one as they were similar :') I need to stop going shopping and I am clearly obsessed with flowery H&M dresses haha! I wore it with burgundy flats from Primark and some dainty silver jewellery.. I didn't like any of the close up shots to show you, typical :') But I think they were also from Primark :)

Seeing as I'm not really doing anything at the moment (still unpacking) I'm hoping to post twice a week on Wednesday and Sunday so keep an eye out if you fancy :) Hope you all had a lovely weekend! :)

Grad Ball

Grad Ball Southampton SUSU graduation 2015

Hey Everyone! Uni has finally finished and I'm back home now for good! I can't believe how quickly Uni went, 3 years went by in a flash! Last Monday I went to our Graduation Ball. I originally wasn't going to go as it was £50 to go to Oceana.. which is a rip off but a few days before I thought I might as well as it only happens once :)

I then spent the day trawling through asos until I found this pretty dress, I felt like a princess in it! And it was in petite so I thought hell yeah why not! I wore it with my black platform sandals from New Look, which wouldn't have been my first choice but they're the comfiest heels I own and I wanted to last all night (which I did wahooo!) and I'm just too short so added height is a must XD

Before Oceana we headed to our friends with pre-drinks, it's so sad to think that we're all heading off in separate directions! The actual event was from 8pm-4am which is soo long and so early :') but we couldn't get cabs until around 10:30 :) They had a little fairground in the car park with a ghost train, a fast spinning wheel thing and bumper cars as well as some food stalls then inside were two photo booths, a formal one and a messing around one. It was quite cool that they'd print out a photo right away, but it was sort of annoying that you'd only get 1 photo even if there were more of you, and then online they put the poorest quality version and you have to buy the proper one, but nevermind :')

There were different acts going on in different rooms, we were on the rides so missed Katy B, but we saw Labyrinth and Basshunter which was quite cool :) All in all I had a good night, we did loads of dancing and stayed till around 3:30am but it did have quite a school disco feel to it. Drinks were so expensive for Southampton, apparantly they lowered the prices for us but it was £3 a single and £4.50 a double.. I went to Oceana the previous Wednesday and paid £3 for a double but oh wells :')
It was fun but not worth £50 :') I think a lot of people complained as Southampton's grad ball sounded rubbish compared to other uni's and they were cheaper, and there were no meals, or food or drink included :) But it was nice to spend time with my friends so I'm glad I went! :)

Last week a few of us went for a picnic at the common. We'd planned it before exams so we all had it to look forward to :) We went to Aldi to get some food as they're so cheap and like always we had so many leftovers XD We got a variety of bits and bobs such as croissants, sausage rolls, crackers and houmous, grapes and strawberries to be healthy hehe and then chocolate etc and I also made a packet mix of red velvet cupcakes which weren't too bad! :)

After we were all full we decided to take silly pictures, there were 203 in total! haha, so I had to majorly cut them down, sorry it's still pretty picture heavy XD It felt like we were back in school, making pyramids and silly things haha, but it was a really nice day :)

The weather stayed really nice for us and it was so nice to catch up, eat loads of food and just mess around before we all head off our separate ways after graduation. It's so sad that we're all leaving but we will definitely have to keep in touch and meet up every now and again :)

Coming down to my short level :')

I'll definitely have to go on picnics more often, as they work out so cheap and we always have such a great time :) Hope you all have a lovely week! :)
