Blue Dungarees

Exams are finally finished which means that my second year of Uni is well and truly over! I can't believe how quickly this year has flown by it's crazy! It has definitely been a hard and stressful few months but I'm hoping that when my results come out in a few weeks time that it will be worth it :) It's quite frightening in a way to imagine that I only have 1 more year left and then I need to start looking for a job and acting like an actual grown up! I just want to be a child forever :') I still have no idea what I want to do after Uni, I was hoping that I'd really enjoy certain areas of my degree but I just keep changing my mind, I guess I still have a while to mull it over but perhaps I should be looking into it a bit more :)

I've had a busy week since the end of exams and it's been really nice to go out and catch up with everyone, go out clubbing, for dinner and stuff my face with a few yummy waffles from Sprinkles. I always find it strange after exams have finished because I never quite know what to do with myself, my brain still seems to be in overdrive and I keep thinking that I should be doing something challenging, but to be honest it's been nice to just sleep and relax, my brain is exhausted haha! :)

I found these dungarees in Primark and I thought they were the cutest thing ever! I definitely feel like a child but I don't really care haha! So I decided to team it with my white crop top from New Look and my nice, clean new Converse from Cloggs. Luckily for me I can fit into kids so I can get shoes much cheaper! Yay for me haha! :)

Nuvole Bianche- Ludovico Einaudi

One of my 'New Years Resolutions' this year was to record more videos of me playing the piano. I really enjoy playing the piano but as soon as you put an audience or a camera in front of me I just panic and forget how to play and constantly mess up even if I know the piece perfectly! It gets frustrating sometimes XD But hopefully by recording myself more soon I will get better and will learn to ignore people and the camera etc :) fingers crossed XD

This is currently one of my favourite pieces so I thought I would attempt to record it :) I still need to figure out a better angle, soon I'll be a pro at it and there won't be a hundred million mistakes XD

Birthday Ceilidh

Last weekend one of my best friends from Uni celebrated her 21st birthday! eeee Happy Birthday! :)
She decided to do a joint celebration with her housemate and another close friend so they hired out a hall and the folk society for the night.

This was the first time I'd been to any type of barn dance/ceilidh but it was so much fun! There was a guy who explained the basic moves and would shout out instructions during the dance. He was a bit hard to understand partly due to the fuzzy sound system but it was quite easy to pick up :)

It soon got really hot with all the dancing but it was so much fun! 

At first we were told there was a bard theme so I was planning on wearing a checkered shirt but just before the event we were told there wasn't a theme anymore so i decided to play it safe.

Virginia Waters

There happened to be a really nice sunny day during the Christmas holidays with blue skies and a lovely crisp feel :) Made a change from the other miserable days, I love it when its winter and its sunny as you can wrap up in many layers and enjoy the sunshine which instantly lifts your mood :)
Two of my best friends and I decided to walk around Virginia Waters. It was so nice to take a break from revision and clear my mind and catch up a bit more with the girls before we went back to Uni and work :)

It honestly feels like I have been revising forever. As soon as I arrived home for Christmas holidays my head was straight in those books. Hopefully all my hard work will pay off :) I've got my last exam this semester tomorrow morning and then I'm freeee :D

Biosoc Winter Ball

11th December 2013

The Bio department at Uni were throwing a Masquerade Ball during the last week of this semester. Originally I wasn't going to go as a few of my friends were going on a social but I texted one of my best friends at uni on the day asking whether she wanted to go as all my work had been handed in. We then decided to go very last minute :) Any excuse to dress up! :) I decided to wear my black velvet dress.

The Ball was at Wild Lime and it was a really nice evening :) Catherine got ready at mine and we headed off together to the Ball :) We were able to pay on the door and received a complementary glass of champagne :) It felt so classy with everyone in suits, dresses and masks, sipping away at wine :) We both had a really nice night and we got chatting to some people from our course :) So glad we decided to go last minute :)

Christmas Meal

9th December 2013

During our last week of the semester the girls and I decided to go for a Christmas meal to celebrate the end of term :) I'd finished all my assignments due for the end of the week the weekend before so I was excited to go out and not be constantly working. We all got dressed up and decided to go to Wild Lime in the high street. The food was okay but the service wasn't that great as we were in the corner and they'd forgotten about us. We all had a nice girly chat and catch up nonetheless :) It was really nice to have a nice meal and wine and get dressed up :) Definitely need to do more of these nights next year :)
