Olympic Beach, Greece

Hey everyone! I hope you're all well! I had a lovely time in Greece, I went with my mum and my auntie and we stayed in an apartment in a place called Olympic Beach which is nearish to Thessaloniki. There was plenty of sun and lots of sunbathing and swimming :) I definitely need to go on holiday more often!

Hey everyone! Hope you're all well! I finally have internet wahoo! It's been such a pain not having any, and I know it's such a silly thing but it's crazy how dependent we all are on technology etc. I wanted to share with you all some photos from my recent holiday to Corfu. I went with mum and we had a lovely time and it was so nice to sit and relax and do nothing for a week :)

We booked a veryyy last minute holiday through Travel Republic. We booked it Saturday evening and left Monday morning haha! I was actually really impressed with the flight, we flew with Small Planet Airways and I was surprised that we got food on it. On the way there it was a morning flight so we got Breakfast which included eggs, sausages, hash browns and beans, there was also some fruit, crackers and dairylea cheese and a little orange juice! So much! They brought round little breads and they also offered drinks, the selection wasn't huge but they had champagne which I thought was so weird! As well as like water, orange juice, tea and coffee. After breakfast they brought round a hot towel and then closer to arrivals they brought round hard boiled sweets. I was very pleasantly surprised. On the way back it was more dinner, so there was chicken with vegetables and a sticky toffee pudding and instead of champagne they offered wine :)

We stayed at Messonghi Beach Resort and the hotel was actually quite nice, it was a 3 star hotel but it had everything that we needed and it was clean which I think is really important. The decor was a bit basic but we didn't mind as it's not a priority really and we thought it was good value for your money. The resort was also huge! We weren't expecting it to be so big! There were a few swimming pools and it was right on the beach. We also opted for all inclusive so we ate loads and our drinks were included :) There was also entertainment in the evenings which were good most nights. The only things that I'd say could be better was that you have to pay to use their WiFi and you have to pay to use the sunloungers on the beach whereas the ones at the pool are free so we just laid there and then walked over for a dip in the sea :)

One day we decided to get the bus to Corfu town. We got a green bus from outside our hotel and the journey was around 45 minutes, then we explored town and hopped on the bus back :) We visited the fortress and walked through the marketplaces and basically explored the whole town which was quite cool :) Annoyingly as we got to the fortress below it started raining :') Then when we finally climbed to the top it stopped XD It was still pretty cool though :)

As we went at the end of September the weather was still pleasant but a bit on the cooler side. It was around 27C I think but it did rain for a few days, typical! Haha! There were huge thunderstorms which were cool but scary. But we managed to get some sunbathing in anyway. Apparantly Corfu is a very green island as it rains a lot :') Have you ever been before? :)

Serbia: Visiting Belgrade

Hey Everyone! Hope you're well! I'm still enjoying the super hot weather in Serbia, and thought I would share some pictures for you all :)

Both sides of my family live in Belgrade which is the Capital and that's where we usually stay. In the city there's a massive high street called 'Knez Mihajlova' where it's full of shops and cafes etc. All the major buildings are pretty much there too and there's loads of cool architecture.

Kalemegdan is the old fortress of Belgrade and it's really nice to walk around especially in the evening when the weather's a bit cooler. You can see parts of the old town and there's a park surrounding it. I wouldn't advise heels as it's cobbled haha!

Skadarlija is nice to visit in the evening for a drink or some dinner. It's a cute litle Bohemian area where poets and artists lived and visited back in the day. It's a little cobbled area packed with mainly traditional cafes and restaurants and you're surrounded by live music. The bands will usually go round each table individually and play violins etc just for you :)

Serbia is a mainland country so it isn't close to the sea but there are plenty of lakes and rivers where people go to swim and sunbathe. I think a famous one is Srebrno Jezero (Silver Lake) but we usually always go to Ada Ciganlia which is a lake in Belgrade and it's packed with cafes and clubs so you can visit day and night :) There are also loads of big outdoor swimming pools where everyone goes during the day for swimming and sunbathing :)

And then here are some photos from the outskirts of Belgrade where there are loads of mountains and greenery. Serbia is also well known for all of their monasteries scattered around the country :)

So that's a little bit about Belgrade and pretty much what I do when I visit haha! I stay with family and catch up with them, go swimming and sunbathing at the pools or lakes and then in the evening go for a walk in town or around the lakes :)
