Winter Walks

Hey everyone! I hope you're all well! I've had a good week, I've been quite busy with my experiments and by the end of Friday I managed to get significant results for these sets of experiments that I've been working towards for a while which is great! So now I can take this information forward and carry on with my experiments and hopefully I can generate some more data :) And then yesterday I went for drinks and dancing for a close friend's birthday and it was a really  fun night :)

Burnham Beeches

Hey everyone! I hope you're all well! I've been really busy recently and quite overwhelmed, I've had some deadlines at work, been doing lots of writing and experiments and then I'm also in charge of organising the work Christmas dinner, lunch buffet, and secret santa.. so I'll be pleased when these weeks are over XD

Afternoon Tea Party

Hey everyone! I hope you're well! I am nearly there with finishing the baby blanket! I've crocheted the main section, I just need to do the border but the instructions aren't 100% clear so I need to wait for mum's help so we can figure it out together XD It was my mum's birthday on Tuesday so my brother and I thought we would surprise her and put together a little tea party for her and she loved it! I loved it too and now I find everyday eating boring haha :)

Bank holiday sunset evenings

Hey everyone! I hope you're well! And I hope you've enjoyed the lovely weather recently :) I've had quite a busy week again at labs but it's nice to do some experiments and keep busy. It meant I didn't get much writing done this week but hopefully I will get it all finished soon :) I've also finally started crocheting the baby blanket for my work colleague although I am debating starting again as maybe I should have done a slightly tighter tension.. silly me :)

Hey everyone! I hope you're all well! I had a lovely time in Greece, I went with my mum and my auntie and we stayed in an apartment in a place called Olympic Beach which is nearish to Thessaloniki. There was plenty of sun and lots of sunbathing and swimming :) I definitely need to go on holiday more often!

Wintery Walk

Hey everyone! Hope you're all well! I'm recovering okay, I had both of my ankles injected with steroids on Wednesday and I've been taking it easy since then :) They're still not 100% as it takes time, but fingers crossed :) I've spend the last few days crocheting and cross-stitching with mum which has been really nice! She's much better than I am but I guess she has a few more years of experience XD

Christmas Dinner at Banana Wharf

Hey everyone! Hope you're all well! My phone decided to break on Sunday morning and I feel so lost without a smartphone :') It's crazy how much of an impact it has on our lives but I'm currently using an old phone which is probably about 10 years old :') Pretty rubbish though as it only lasted 2 years so it looks like I'm on the hunt for a new one as I was told that repairing it out of warranty would be about £180 :(

A Day Out In London

Afternoon Tea Browns Brasserie Bar Covent Garden

Hey everyone! I hope you're all well! I had a really lovely weekend with friends, we went to London to celebrate my friends birthday on Saturday and then on Sunday we went for tapas at La Familia which was really good too! So I thought I would share some pictures with you.. mostly of my friends because they're more photogenic than I am haha!

So on Saturday we started off the day by walking through Hyde Park which was really nice. When I left home it started spitting but luckily the weather was okay all day! So we walked through the park and to the little lake in the middle. Next time we go we will definitely have to hire a pedalo :)

Taking a Stroll and Catching Pokemon

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I managed to catch some sunshine on Saturday and I finished re-reading the 2nd Harry Potter book xD and then I went walking around catching Pokemon haha! My best find this weekend was a CP210 Psyduck, woo! I decided to take my camera along on my walks and practice my photography a little bit so I thought I would share some photos with you :)

Afternoon Tea | Windsor

Afternoon Tea Harte and Garter Windsor
Hey everyone! Happy Easter! I hope you're all having a lovely weekend and you're eating lots of chocolate and yummy food! Friday evening I ended up booking a last minute holiday to Prague for Monday which I'm really excited about although I'm finding it difficult to plan what to wear and what coats to take as I don't want to be too hot or cold.. and I want to wear pretty dresses and skirts but I also want to be comfy and to be able to walk although so it looks like trainers and casual outfits for me XD

The Old Vine, Winchester

The Old Vine Winchester Christmas Meal Set Menu Dessert

Hey everyone! Hope you're all well! On Thursday a group of us from work had our Christmas Meal at The Old Vine in Winchester and it was really lovely so I thought I would share some pictures :)

The Old Vine Winchester Christmas Meal Set Menu Dessert

I'm not going to lie.. my expectations were realllly low. I've heard that the food there is really good but when I looked at the options on the set menu there wasn't really anything that stood out to me. I thought all the options were a bit funny and they didn't have like.. Turkey with all the trimmings which I thought was a bit weird.. and there was a set price of £25 per person so I wasn't sure whether it would be worth it. Luckily I was pleasantly surprised!

When we arrived we were promptly taken to a separate room where we had our table for 14. It was such a lovely room and it was really nice that we were separate and I felt that we could enjoy it a bit more. There were also some really lovely decorations and the room looked so cute! Due there being so many of us we also received 2 complimentary bottles of Prosecco between us all. :)

For my starter I chose the smoked salmon and it came with a lovely mustard, honey and dill dip, salad and a selection of bread, it was really tasty and the portion was actually pretty big! A lot of people opted for the scotch egg which did look really good.. It was a perfectly runny egg surrounded in sausage meat and a nice salad.

For my meal I picked lamb shank in red wine sauce with mash potato, sweet potato and green beans. I really enjoyed my main and I think it was one of the better options. It was also huge so I couldn't finish it all, but it was really tasty! Those that had the crab main didn't really like it which is such a shame.

Finally, for dessert I picked an apple tart and I think it was my favourite part! It was warm and sweet and it was really lovely. There was ice cream on top which I wasn't too keen on so I took it off but the actual tart was really nice :)

After the meal we had a choice of different teas and coffee, so I picked a camomile tea and we all opened our secret santa presents. It was actually a really nice evening and I'm glad it went well and I liked the food! Have you had any Christmas meals yet? :)

PS. On Wednesday I did a Primark Haul if you wanted to have a watch :)

Ripley's Believe It Or Not

Ripley's Believe it or not museum review

Hey everyone! Hope you're all well! Today I thought I would share some photos from the weekend when we went to Ripley's in London for my friends birthday. It's basically a museum full of weird and cool things that Mr Ripley collected and found over the years so I thought I would share some with you :)

We got the tickets through Virgin Experience holidays and also on Ripley's website.. it's cheaper if you go after 5pm and book in advance so if you wanted to go I would recommend doing that. We got there around 6ish on Saturday and it wasn't that busy so you don't really need fast track and it's nice as you can walk around at your own pace :)

They pretty much had a bit of everything! There were loads of floors with different things such as 2 headed animals, paintings made out of smoke, or sweets or dung. There was also a little bit with dungeons where they had different torture methods which was quite gruesome and another cool bit was different people he'd found in the circus, such as the smallest man who'd sit in a cage etc :)

We also went in the mirror maze which was quite cool and I kept getting scared and confused at my own reflection haha! We also played a game where one person would go and hide and we'd have to find her as we're children haha! There was also a cool laser thing like mission impossible which was fun to do :)

So there were some photos from Ripleys, I didn't want to give too much away but I've spoiled some of it haha, sorry! If you were going to go I'd definitely get a deal or the cheaper tickets but it's cool and it's something different :)
