Christmas Dinner at Banana Wharf

Hey everyone! Hope you're all well! My phone decided to break on Sunday morning and I feel so lost without a smartphone :') It's crazy how much of an impact it has on our lives but I'm currently using an old phone which is probably about 10 years old :') Pretty rubbish though as it only lasted 2 years so it looks like I'm on the hunt for a new one as I was told that repairing it out of warranty would be about £180 :(

Anyways, last week we went for our work Christmas Dinner at Banana Wharf in Ocean Village and it was a really nice evening! I'd say the food was okay. I thought it was nice and pleasant enough and I'd maybe go again but it wasn't anything amazing but I'd say it was still good. If that makes sense haha!
The staff were really attentive and the atmosphere was really nice and we all had a good time which I think is the main thing so overall it was a really nice evening :)

I decided to go for the 3 course Christmas meal option. So for my starter I had the Festive Smoked Salmon and Prawn Cocktail. I'd say it was tasty enough however I always find that they don't give you enough bread so I ended up leaving some of my prawns :)

My main meal was the Roast Norfolk Turkey with roast potatoes and a selection of vegetables. I must say the potatoes were amazing. The were really lovely and fluffy inside with a great crisp coat so I helped myself to plenty of them as they were so tasty and I'd say they provided us with more than enough vegetables to go on the side so we didn't have to fight for them :) I think the main was a good size. Originally when they brought it out I wasn't sure if it would be good but it was a nice meal :)

Finally for dessert I had the Raspberry and Lemon Shortcrust Tart. I like it but it was very tart, it kind of made my jaw spasm a bit haha! I opted for without cream but speaking to everyone else the sweetness of the cream balanced the tart and so it was good but I guess I didn't have anything to balance it. I still ate it though! I think it would have been nice with some vanilla ice cream too :)

So that was our Work Christmas Dinner and our experience of Banana Wharf. I probably wouldn't go back for Christmas Dinner again as we like to try different places every year but I'd probably go and try something from their normal menu as it seems quite nice in there :) I actually have another Christmas Meal coming up so hopefully that is good too! :)
