Hey Everyone! Hope you're all well :) Last weekend I attended a blogging event organised by Scarlett from Scarlett London and I had a lovely time! The event was held in the Conrad London Hotel which was amazing and it was around the corner from St. James Station. Scarlett is so nice and she did a great job, and all the brands were so generous so I thought I would share a bit about the event :)

As you entered you were offered a range of drinks which were alcoholic and non-alcoholic, I went for apple juice and you also got a little brochure which had a bit about every brand and the layout of the rooms. There were also various canapes and a table full of sweets :)

The first brand that I spoke to were Jewellery Box and in my opinion they had the best table decorations wise. They offer dainty silver jewellery at highstreet prices and they have a pop-up shop in Brixton until the 20th September if you want to check them out. They also kindly gifted everyone and I got cute little bow earrrings and a bracelet :)

The Perfume Shop had a cool stand as they had all their perfumes in doll houses with barbies and cupcakes which was super cute XD They also sent me away with a perfume sample of Paco Rabanne's Olympea which is now my everyday perfume XD It's strong and sweet which I love, especially during winter :)

I got a really cute glitter tattoo on my forearm from Glimmer and then I also picked up these super pretty watercolour temporary tattoos! I can't wait to wear them all XD We all also had the chance to speak to Mode Media which was really useful :)

Face Polish c/o Exuviance

Exuviance kindly gifted me a face polish which I've really been enjoying and I'll be doing a collective skincare review soon. When I spoke to them they asked what kind of skin I had and recommended the best product for me which was really nice of them :)

c/o Yoogaia

Yoogaia is an online interactive pilates site where you can exercise from home. You can choose to have your webcam on so the instructor can help you if needed which is quite cool or you can choose to not use your webcam and join along that way :) They offer a 7 day trial period so I'll be trying that out. They also provided me with some healthy snacks :)

Brodie and Stone had products from loads of different brands to do with beauty and personal care. They kindly gifted me some samples. The skincare products felt nice on my skin however I personally didn't like the smell which is a shame. And the hair products are nice to use and I usually use them on damp hair :)

Bee Good had a huge range of products and they all looked really good! I also got a mini hand massage which was so relaxing I could have falled asleep XD

Taisir Gibreel had some really pretty scarves. Grace Foods had a huge selection of everyday food and drink items and kindly gave me some goodies which I will be taking with me to uni :)

Scarlett also sent us away with a giiinormous goody bag! There was so much stuff and it was so lovely and generous of her! My favourite items had to be the Ogx conditioners which I went and brought the matching shampoos for, they smell amazing and I'm now set for months haha! And the big canvas bag which says 'Blogging is thirsty work'  :')

Thank you Scarlett for organising a fun event and to all the brands that gifted! It was also so lovely to meet blogging girls that I've either met before or know from Twitter and it was so nice to get to know their blogging friends too :)

Exploring London

Hey everyone! Hope you're all well! I've had quite a busy few days as I went to two blogger events which were good fun and I'll have posts up soon :) I wanted to share with you today some photos from a few weeks back when I went to meet up with one of my best friends from Uni and then I also merged it with some photos from the weekend so sorry it's a long one! :)

It was a really nice day and it was actually sunny for once! We met at London Bridge and then pretty much walked across the whole of London :') However we were so busy catching up that I didn't take photos of the beginning bit XD

We walked along the River Thames up to the London eye, past Big Ben, Westminster, through St. James' Park and then up to Buckingham Palace :) At this point we were starving so we decided to go to Nando's for lunch. After lunch we then walked back towards Trafalgar Square and to Covent Garden :) We had a really lovely time and it was so nice pretending to be a tourist and seeing all the major attractions instead of just meeting up somewhere for a coffee :)

And then on Saturday before one of my blogging events, I went to London and walked along the river from London Bridge to Waterloo station and did some exploring :) Annoyingly the weather was sooo miserable in typical English fashion so it was really hard to take any decent photos when the background blurred into one big grey XD

I've really enjoyed walking this route :) Where do you like going when visiting London? :)

Butter Biscuits with Jam

Hey everyone! Hope you're all well! Today it is finally sunny for once in England and I wish it would last forever XD I also finally found a little studio flat to move into in a few weeks so now all I need is a new car :') Today's post is a recipe one :) Mum makes a similar Serbian one called 'vanilice' but she had 3 recipes and couldn't remember which one was the best one.. typical :') So I found these similar ones online on BBC and I really liked them as they melt in your mouth and are super yummy :)

Ingredients:

250g plain flour

200g butter

100g icing sugar

pinch of salt

2 egg yolks

raspberry jam (or other jams)

Method:

1. Heat oven to Gas Mark 3 (I have a weird oven so did 5).

2. Using your fingers, rub together the flour, butter, icing sugar and salt in a bowl until they look like           breadcrumbs.

3. Add the egg yolks and mix to make a dough, roll out onto a lightly floured surface until about 0.5cm     thick then cut out shapes.

4. Make holes in half the biscuits using a fluted cutter (whatever that is, I used a toothpick).

5. Put all the biscuits on a baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes or until light golden brown and then     transfer to a wire rack to cool.

6. Using a teaspoon, spoon jam onto the whole biscuits and sandwich with the ones which have             holes in them and enjoy!

Rub together the butter, sugar, flour and salt to form breadcrumbs

Add the egg yolks to make a dough and roll out on a lightly floured surface to about 0.5cm thick

Cut out shapes and place on baking trays

Cut out holes in half, I used a toothpick, it was pretty fiddly

Bake for 10-12 minutes and sandwich with jam

These were so easy to make and came out really tasty! Although you do have to get your hands messy. Also, save the egg whites and then make macaroons or something so you're not wasteful and who doesn't love more cakes XD Let me know if you give them a try! :)

White Crochet Skirt

Hey Everyone! Hope you're all well! I haven't really been doing much recently except seeing friends before they go to Uni/work which has been nice! It also means I've been eating out a lot so I need to start doing some yoga or pop pilates in my room until I move to Southampton and join a gym as I get very tired running up stairs haha! :) 

Today's post features this really pretty little crochet skirt which I picked up in the Topshop sale for around £20. I've been looking for a crochet skirt for at least a year or 2 but I could never find one I liked or that was affordable. I tried one in H&M last year but they didn't have my size which was so annoying! But nevermind I finally found one and it's in petite! It was meant to be :')

I decided to go for all white and wore my trusty white crop top which I wore in my previous post with my Zara skirt. I seem to have a thing for skirts and crop tops or flowery dresses :') Nevermind :) I then wore it with my little flowery sandals from Primark and some statement earrings :)

I have a few busy week and a bit ahead of me, I need to go to Southampton to view some flats, then on Saturday I'm going to Scarlett London's blogging event, and on Monday I'm going to Bloggers Love Fashion Event and then Wednesday I'm going to Joe Brown's Funfair :') Maybe I will see some of you at them! :)
